taṇṇuγa T. M. (C. Te. തക്കു) 1. To step തങ്കഴല്‍ തന്നിലേ തങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടാന്‍ CG. at his feet. മൂത്രം തങ്ങുന്ന പാത്രം Nid. 2. (= തക്കുക I, 3.) to come into possession, to be there കൊ ങ്കകളില്‍ തങ്ങിയ കുങ്കുമച്ചാര്‍, പൂമണം തങ്ങിന തെന്നല്‍ക്കിടാവു CG. In po. often തങ്കിന = ഉ ള്ള f. i. വന്പു തങ്കിന മാരുതി RC. (& വന്പുതങ്കും മാമരം RC.). ഉറുതി തങ്കിന കണ്ണിപ്പറന്പു Anj. കാര്‍തങ്ങും ആകാശം CG. 3. to be entangled (ജടയില്‍ ഒരു മുത്തു തങ്ങിപ്പോയി); to be arrested in the midst of progress. (കായി വീണു മര ത്തില്‍ തങ്ങിപ്പോയി caught in the branches). തങ്ങിപ്പറക = തക്കിപ്പറക to stammer. Hence: VN. തങ്ങല്‍ rest, shelter, So. (& തക്കം). തങ്ങാരം support, stay. CV. തങ്ങിക്ക to delay, stop. മക്കളെ ഇല്ലത്തു ത ങ്കിച്ചു Mpl. song (made to stay). — see താ ങ്ങുക.

taviruγa T. aM. To be put aside V1. തവിര്‍ക്ക V1. to exclude, omit (= ഒക്കഴി). തവിഴുക V1. to creep along, as തവിഴാമ (vu. തമി —) the spreading hogweed.

toṇṇūr̀ụ T. M. (തൊള്‍) Ninety, തൊണ്ണൂറുചാല്‍ പൂട്ടിയാല്‍ prov. തൊണ്ണൂറാം വാ ക്യം വാങ്ങി he has run away; (ഗമനകാലം is the 90th among the 248 വാക്യം or memorial words nsed by astrologers).

tāraδamyam S. (തര + തമ) The more or less ഏററക്കുറവു; nice distinction of degrees. അതിഥികളുടെ താ'ങ്ങള്‍ അറിക, അ തിലേ താ. അറിവതിന്നു KR. gradation.

tuṇi T. M. (= തുണ്ടു) 1. Piece, rag. aM. തു. യായെയ്തു വീഴ്ത്തി, മല തുണിചെയ്തു RC. = തു ണ്ടിച്ചു. 2. cloth, തുണിയും മുണ്ടും prov.; എന്നെ ഒററത്തുണിയോടേ ഓട്ടി KR. banished me with one cloth. പല തുണിത്തരങ്ങള്‍ TR.; esp. women's cloth, ൧൦ മുഴം Anach. (=പുടവ). എന്നെക്കൊണ്ട അവളുടെ തലയും തു. യും കഴി പ്പാന്‍ കഴിയായ്കയാല്‍ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചതു her support. തുണിയുക v. n. T. C. aM. to cut short, decide, venture (=mod. തുനിയുക), മറഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു പുനരപി ചാകത്തുണിഞ്ഞു കളിക്കുന്നൊരു മൃഗം KR.
