tiraṭṭu T. M. (തിരള്‍) 1. Assemblage; abstract of accounts. മുളകു ചാര്‍ത്തി വന്ന ഒട്ടു ക്കുള്ള തി. TR. the sum total, also തിരട്ടു ക ണക്കു adding up a sum. കുറുന്തിരട്ടു a short abstract. 2. തിരട്ടുകഞ്ഞി, തി'കുളി etc., what refers to the first menstruation; (തിരട്ടുകല്യാ ണം = വയസ്സറിയിക്കും കല്യാണം). തിരട്ടുക 1. So. to ball up, (= തിരയു 1.). 2. തി രട്ടിവെക്ക to perform a ceremony for a girl of 5-6 years, in preparation of marriage (putting her aside, as if for the first menstruation).

tēkkụ T. M., (Tu. C. തേഗു, Te. ടെകു). The Teak tree, Tectona grandis. Kinds: ക ല്ലന്‍ — the best, കോല്‍ — small, ഉമി — or നെയി — large, but of inferior value. VN. തൊലിപ്പു peeling. തൊലിപ്പനരി V2. = വെ ളുപ്പിച്ച അരി (B. rice merely husked, not well beaten). തൊലിയുക n. v. to be peeled. തോല്‍ തൊലിഞ്ഞു പോയി the skin went off.

tur̀ikka (√ തുറു) v. n. To project, ചത്തു മിഴികള്‍ തുറിച്ചു Bhr. (also തുടിക്ക 3.); കണ്ണു തു.
