mand/?/ikka S. = മന്ദം പിടിക്ക To become slow, dull, inactive as bowels. അസ്ത്രം മന്ദിച്ചിതേററവും Bhr. had spent its force. മന്ദിച്ചു വാങ്ങി Mud. retired slowly. ചൊന്നു മന്ദിച്ച നേരം CG. having done relating. വീ രന്‍ മ. to lose heart = മടുക്ക; മ'യാതേ പൂകി നാര്‍ CG. = മടിയാതേ.

maṇḍa 5. (S. മണ്ഡം? rather Drav. മട). 1. maččunaǹ T. M. (T. maittunan, C. meiduna, Te. mar̀andi). The son of an uncle (mother's brother) or of father's sister മച്ചി നന്‍ Pay., മച്ചൂനന്‍ vu. മച്ചുനന്‍പണം bridegroom's fee to the cousin of the bride. മച്ചൂനബന്ധം മരിച്ചാലും മറക്കുകയില്ല prov. first cousinship. മച്ചൂനിച്ചി daughter of mother's brother or father's sister, regarded as the proper bride for her cousin.

močča 1. A light coloured monkey. 2. T. So. a Dolichos tetraspermus, B. മൊച്ച ക്കൊട്ട its peas (No. മൊച്ചക്കൊട്ടപ്പയറു = അ വര). മോച്ചന്‍ (മൂത്ത?) 1. an old man, a big person (loc). 2. Palg. = നൊച്ചെലി, നച്ചെലി. മൊച്ചിങ്ങ, see under മുച്ചി.

maḍa T. M. (C. Te. maḍu). 1. A hollow, hole as of snakes, rats എലിമടയില്‍ പുക്കുകൊള്‍വി ന്‍ Bhr.; കടുവാമലന്പുലി കൂടും മട Anj. the cave of. 2. a sluice, flood-gate. 3. the name of different Iḍangāḷis പതിനാറാം മട or പാട്ട ഇടങ്ങഴി by which the Janmi is paid, holding nearly 5 Nā/?/i, പതിനെട്ടാം മട = വി ല്ക്കുന്ന ഇ. bazar measure of 4 Nā/?/i, ഇരുപതാം മട = ചെലവിടങ്ങാഴി by which servants are paid, little above 3 Nā/?/i. 4. a fold of cattle മടവെക്ക to fence in a piece of ground V1.; മടകൂട്ടുക, മടയില്‍ കൂട്ടുക to bring cattle into the fold.
