šabdam S. (ശപ് + ദാ). l. Sound, the വിഷയം of the ear; of 12 kinds ശാന്തം, ഘോ രം, മൂഢം (ദൃഢം?) സംഘര്‍ഷം, ഭവന്താരം (ധൈ വതം a, പഞ്ചമം b, h, നിഷാധം c, ഋഷഭം d, ഗാന്ധാരം e, ഷള്‍ജം f, മദ്ധ്യമം g, the 7 musical notes), ശ. പിഴെക്ക, ഒക്കാതേ out of tune, ശ. തിരിക്ക to pronounce distinctly. ശ. ഇടുക to make a noise. — ചെത്തപ്പെടുക Tdbh. to be sounded. 2. a word, gramm. ശ'ത്തില്‍ ചേ ര്‍ന്നുള്ള അര്‍ത്ഥത്തെ കാണ്മാനായി ശാബ്ദികന്‍ ഓ

šrōγāvụ S. (ശ്രു). šāγam S. 1. A pot-herb ശാകങ്ങളെ അ രിഞ്ഞു GP. (for kar̀i). ശാ. വിളന്പി SiPu. a dish of vegetables. 2. = ശകാബ്ദം. ശാകോപദംശം S. vegetable kar̀i. ശാക്യമുനി S. Buddha. ശാക്തേയം S. see ശക്തിപൂജ, f. i. അവരുടെ ശാ'ത്തില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നു vu. — ശാക്തേയന്മാര്‍, also= പിടാരന്മാര്‍.
