Tu. തളു to detain) A bolt. തഴുതൂരി MM. withdrew the bolt; chiefly the wooden doorbolt pushed from above (തഴുതും അരമയും); ഇരട്ടത്തഴുതു No. = ചീര്‍പ്പു. — also: തഴു or തഴുവു f. i. തഴുവററം വന്നു പോയി (some തഴുവേററം) the family is extinct = കററി ഇററു. — തഴുതണം herpetic eruptions, ring-worm (S. ദദ്രു, C. taru, in തരുതരേ (തരക്കു, തരി) Rough, coarse. തരു V1. gills of fish = പൂ & കുറുന്പല്‍. തരുപിരുങ്ങു V1. nonsense. തരുമൂക്കു the opening of the nose into the mouth, ചോറോ വെള്ളമോ ത'ക്കില്‍ പോ യാല്‍ വല്ലവര്‍ ദുഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ടു (superstition). II.
