Green stuff on stagnant pools; duck-weed (ചമ്മി), green mouldiness on walls. — Kinds: ഊര്‍പ്പായി on tanks, Pontederia vaginalis, (ഊര്‍പ്പശിക്കാവു near Tell.) എണ്ണപ്പാ. Rh. Rotala verticillaris, കല്പായില്‍ Lichen rotund, an alga, കടപ്പാ. Pistia stratiotas, കുററപ്പാ. (= അങ്ങില്ലാപ്പൊങ്ങു), മുളളന്‍ പാ. Pingaicola or Urtioularia; വഴുക്കുപാ. Vallisneria spiralis.

pottụ M. T. (T. V1. also പൊതുന്പു, So. പോതു, C. hodaru, C. Tu. poṭre). 1.
