In comp. ഗ്രാമകാമന്‍, വനകാമന്‍ etc. Bhr. liking to stay at home, to rove in the forest. Hence: കാമകുരു (loc.) comedones. കാമഗം going where one likes കാ'മായ രഥം KR. കാമചാരം walking according to one's own wish. കാമചാരിണികള്‍ f. pl. kramam S. 1. Step, progress, കാലക്രമേ ണ etc. 2. order, regularity; succession. ക്ര മമായ അഫീല്‍ MR. regular appeal. ക്രമവി രോധമായി unauthorized. ക്രമമായി വ്യവഹരി ക്ക VyM. point after point (opp. ഒന്നിച്ചു വ്യ. bungling). ക്രമപ്രകാരം നടക്കാത്ത jud. immoral. Hence: ക്രമക്കേടു disorder. ക്രമണം stepping. ക്രമപ്പെടുക to be regulated. ക്രമശഃ successively. ക്രമാല്‍ (Abl.), ക്രമേണ (Instr.) by degrees, in order. ക്രമേ ക്രമേ (loc.) gradually.

nāmam S. (√ ജ്ഞാ or മ്നാ) 1. A name നാ. ധരിക്ക, ഇടുക. — ദശരഥനാമ്നാ AR. (Instr.) — Esp. a name descriptive of attributes, as തിരുനാ. the names of Višṇu (generally 27, but also സഹസ്രനാ.), repeated as morning prayer. തിരുനാമങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ലാതേ പോകയോ GnP. തിരു നാമമാഹാത്മ്യം the efficacy of such repetitions. നാ'മങ്ങള്‍ ഓതുക, ജപിക്ക Bhg. 2. a sectarian mark of Vaišṇavas ഗോപിനാമക്കുറി. 3. the noun (gram.). paṭṭaǹ Tdbh., ഭട്ടന്‍, A class of foreign Brahmans, often traders, of old used as inviolable messengers, spies, etc. with പശ്ചിമശിഖ, hence less respected & object of many proverbs, f.i. ഊട്ടു കേട്ട പട്ടര്‍, പട്ടര്‍ തൊട്ട പെണ്ണു etc.; ഒരു കള്ളപ്പട്ടരെ അയച്ചു TR. a spy of Brahman. ഒരു പട്ടരശ്ശന്‍ (hon.) jud.; pl. പട്ടന്മാര്‍. Kinds: കടുപ്പട്ടര്‍ (lowered for eating the fish കടു?) a Sūdra-like class, living by science, & as carriers, embalers, etc. — കുട്ടിപ്പട്ടര്‍ Brahmans attending on Rājas. — ചോഴിയപ്പ. or ആര്യപ്പ. (with forelock) ranking with Kšatriyas, also മുക്കാണിയര്‍. — നാട്ടു പ. children of a foreign Br. from a Nambūri wife. Anach. ദേശികര്‍, വടമര്‍. പട്ടച്ചോമാതിരി see under പട്ടം. പട്ടത്തിരി (& ഭ.) the highest class of Nambūis, very learned, അന്തര്‍ജ്ജനത്തെ വിധിച്ചു പുറ ത്താക്കിയപ.
